Monday 18th November, 2024, was a day of celebration and reflection at Kabarak University TVET Institute as our Culinary Arts and Service students surprised the Executive Director with a heartwarming gesture during their banquet assessment practicals. This event, part of the ongoing TVET CDACC assessments, doubled as a tribute to the director’s impactful leadership and the one-year milestone since the launch of our Culinary Arts and Service program.
The students meticulously planned and executed the surprise, showcasing the skills they have honed over three months of intensive learning and practice. A beautifully designed cake and an exquisite banquet meal, prepared with precision and creativity, were the highlights of the celebration. The event not only demonstrated their culinary prowess but also their ability to organize and execute an event professionally.
The Executive Director was visibly moved by the thoughtful surprise. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the students, commending their dedication, talent, and teamwork. “This surprise is a testament to the incredible potential within each of you. It also reflects the transformative journey we’ve embarked on together over the past year,” he remarked.
The celebration marked more than just a milestone. It was a clear indication of how well-equipped our students are for the competitive hospitality industry. This was further validated by the exciting announcement that one of our students has already secured a position at a prestigious hotel in Nakuru.
At Kabarak University TVET Institute, we are committed to nurturing industry-ready professionals through practical, hands-on learning experiences. This January, we invite aspiring hospitality professionals to join our Culinary Arts and Sales Management program. Together, let’s shape a future where skill meets opportunity, and excellence is the standard.
