The Kabarak University TVET Institute joined other innovators at the 5th Central Rift Innovation Week (CRIW) 2026, held from 15th to 17th September at Kabarak University.
Our innovation team represented the Institute during the final day of the event, taking part in the innovation pitching sessions alongside other innovators from across the University and beyond.
The team presented its innovation before a panel of judges, responding to questions and receiving feedback as part of the structured pitching competition. The session provided an opportunity for the team to share its work, engage with other innovators, and gain valuable exposure to the wider innovation ecosystem.
The final day also featured an MSME Innovation Showcase, an investor masterclass and discussions on moving innovations from prototype to product, before culminating in the Innovation Awards and recognition of outstanding innovators.

CRIW 2026 was held under the theme “Transforming Ideas into Impact: Innovating for a Better Tomorrow.” The three-day programme brought together innovators, researchers, students, industry players, investors and other stakeholders to share ideas and explore opportunities for turning innovation into practical solutions.
For the TVET Institute, the participation provided a valuable platform for our innovation team to showcase its work, learn from others and connect with the wider innovation community.
