On 25th September, our Engineering students had an exciting industrial exposure visit to the Kenya Railways Central Workshop in Nairobi.
The visit gave our students a firsthand look at how engineering knowledge is applied in the real world.
Mechanical Engineering (Production) students explored machining, fabrication, lathes, milling machines, and CNC technology.
Electrical Installation Engineering students observed locomotive wiring, control panels and power distribution systems.
Plumbing & Building Technology students examined hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fluid networks and the structural design of the workshop.
Beyond the workshop, our trainers engaged Kenya Railways engineers in discussions on dual-based training and stronger industry partnerships. These collaborations help bridge the gap between classroom theory and practical skills.
The visit reminded us that TVET is about learning by doing, building skills, and preparing students for the world of work.
