On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Kabarak University TVET Institute had the privilege of hosting Ms. Linda Kageha, one of the directors of the Nakuru Chamber of Commerce, to speak to our students about their entrepreneurial mindset and life expectations during their TVET journey.
Ms. Kageha emphasized the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, even while acquiring various technical skills. She stressed that this mindset is crucial for creating opportunities and succeeding in today's competitive job market.
In addition to the entrepreneurial mindset, Ms. Kageha provided valuable guidance on life expectations during TVET studies. She encouraged students to:
- Focus: Stay dedicated to their goals and avoid distractions.
- Be Contented: Appreciate their progress and avoid comparing themselves to others.
- Improve Skills through Practice: Regularly practice their technical skills to enhance proficiency.
- Network: Build relationships with industry professionals and peers to expand their opportunities.
- Seek Guidance: Don't hesitate to ask for advice and support from teachers, mentors, and industry experts.
We are committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice as we welcome our new students. We believe that by incorporating industry insights into our curriculum, we can equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Linda Kageha for sharing her valuable insights with our students. Her words of wisdom will undoubtedly inspire and motivate them as they embark on their TVET journey.
