Kabarak University TVET Institute is dedicated to bridging classroom learning with real-world application, ensuring our students are industry-ready upon graduation. Recently, our students embarked on a significant field visit to Olkaria Geothermal Plant and Naivasha's prestigious hotels, enriching their academic journey with practical experience in real-world settings.
For engineering students in Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical programs, the Olkaria Geothermal Plant visit offered a unique opportunity to observe geothermal operations firsthand. This immersive experience provided valuable insights into the complex technology and processes driving sustainable energy production, reinforcing the practical aspects of their training beyond textbooks and lectures.
Meanwhile, our Tourism and Hospitality students explored the thriving hospitality sector in Naivasha, touring renowned establishments like Enashipai Resort. They also ventured into Hell’s Gate National Park, gaining exposure to the balance of tourism and conservation. These encounters allowed students to understand the intricacies of high-quality hospitality management and Kenya’s tourism offerings.
At Kabarak University TVET Institute, we believe that field exposure is essential to shaping competent professionals. These hands-on experiences are integral to our mission of delivering an education that aligns with industry standards, equipping our students with skills that meet and exceed employer expectations. We continue to prioritize such opportunities, confident that they prepare our graduates to excel in their chosen fields.
