On 21st July 2026, Kabarak University TVET Institute proudly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MG Innovation Hub, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership that will strengthen research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry exposure for our students and community innovators.
This partnership is driven by a shared vision of bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring that innovative ideas do not remain in classrooms and laboratories but are transformed into sustainable solutions with real societal and economic impact.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Mr. George Muturu, CEO of MG Innovation Hub, emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration between academia and industry to bridge the skills gap and accelerate the commercialization of innovations.
Dr. Dan Mutai, Executive Director, welcomed the partnership, noting that institutions have a responsibility not only to equip students with knowledge but also to mentor and support them in transforming their innovations into impactful, market-ready solutions that address real community needs.

Through this collaboration, our students and innovators will benefit from:
Innovation hackathons and challenges.
Research and innovation incubation.
Industry mentorship and exposure.
Commercialization support for innovative ideas.
Stronger collaboration between academia, industry, and the community.
We are excited about the opportunities this partnership will unlock as we continue nurturing innovators, creating jobs, and driving sustainable development through practical, industry-driven solutions.
