At Kabarak University TVET institute, we believe education extends far beyond the classroom walls. Real learning happens when knowledge meets action — and when institutions work hand in hand with the communities they serve.
Through strategic partnerships with NGOs and other community stakeholders, we continue to strengthen service delivery by engaging in collaborative research and meaningful community initiatives.
Our partnership with Dandelion Africa is one example of this commitment in action. By integrating research, innovation, and hands-on training, we empower both our students and the wider community. Our TVET model ensures learners gain practical, industry-relevant skills while actively contributing to development initiatives that create lasting change.
Research remains a central pillar in strengthening our programs. By incorporating gender-focused studies and other community-centered research, we ensure our training responds to real societal needs. Gender inclusion, in particular, is essential to sustainable development and organizational growth. Integrating research into our work is not just valuable, it is necessary.
On February 9 and 10 this year, our Deputy Director, Dr. Faith Yator, presented a research paper at the Future Women Conference 2026 in Bali, Indonesia, alongside partners from Dandelion Africa. Her presentation emphasized the power of collaborative research in advancing gender equity and empowering communities.

This achievement reflects our institution’s ongoing commitment to:
- Strengthening partnerships
- Promoting gender-responsive research
- Equipping students with practical, hands-on skills
- Driving meaningful community engagement
As we move forward, we remain committed to expanding skills training opportunities for women in our community and deepening collaboration in other strategic areas.
Together, we are building knowledge, empowering women, and transforming communities through research, innovation, and purposeful action.
