On the 19th of February, 2025, history was made at Kabarak University TVET Institute as students came together for the first-ever Kabarak University TVET Institute Student Association (KUTSO) elections. This milestone event marked the beginning of a new era in student leadership, filled with hope, ambition, and a commitment to shaping the institute's future.
The election process, which began at 9:30 AM and concluded at 3:30 PM, was a shining example of fairness and transparency. At exactly 4:00 PM, the eagerly awaited results were announced, revealing Ian Odoh Omondi as the newly elected KUTSO President, with Abigael Namusia stepping into the role of Vice President. Their victory was met with excitement and optimism from their peers, who are confident in their ability to lead with vision and integrity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the students for conducting themselves maturely and ensuring peaceful elections marked by exemplary coordination. Your dedication and respect for the democratic process made this day truly special.
Special thanks go to the Dean of Students, represented by Ms. Veronica Kombich, under the leadership of Dr. Dorcas Githaiga, for their invaluable support and oversight throughout the election process. We also acknowledge the relentless efforts of the Kabarak University TVET Institute team, led by Executive Director Dr. Dan Mutai. In his congratulatory message, Dr. Mutai applauded Ian Odoh Omondi for his remarkable achievement and encouraged the newly elected leaders to serve with diligence and a heart for the student community.
