Kabarak University TVET Institute is committed to providing a well-rounded education that combines classroom learning with practical industry experience. In line with this vision, we recently organized industry visits for our Hospitality & Tourism, and Plumbing & Mechanical trainees.
These visits allowed trainees and trainers to connect with industry professionals and gain valuable exposure to various departments within their respective fields of study. This provided a unique opportunity to visualize the theoretical concepts learned in class and understand how they are applied in real-world scenarios.
By interacting with industry models, trainees can better understand the relevance of their classroom work and how the skills and knowledge they are acquiring are essential for their chosen careers. This exposure will undoubtedly enhance their understanding and sharpen the practical application of their skills. Trainers can also benefit from these visits by staying current with industry trends and best practices, leading to improved teaching quality.
KABU TVET actively implements the agreements reached during a breakfast meeting held earlier this year to strengthen industry-academia linkages for the benefit of both trainees and trainers. This collaborative approach ensures that our curriculum remains relevant and that our graduates possess the skills and knowledge that are highly sought-after by employers.
