At Kabarak University TVET Institute, experiential learning is at the heart of everything we do. We don’t just talk about hands-on training, we live it, every term. Our commitment to practical, real-world education was once again on full display as our Food & Beverage and Hospitality students concluded their practical sessions in style.
In a vibrant, skill-packed cooking session, the kitchen was transformed into a hub of creativity, discipline, and teamwork. From prepping ingredients to final plating, our students showcased not only their technical abilities but also their passion for hospitality. The session wasn’t just about food; it was about learning how to deliver excellence under pressure, a skill every great hospitality professional needs.
During the session, the Deputy Director of the Institute made a courtesy visit, inspiring the students with words of encouragement and vision. “You’re not just learning to cook or serve, you are preparing to lead in this industry. Keep at it!” he remarked, reinforcing the Institute’s mission to mold future leaders in the hospitality sector.
Learning didn’t stop in the kitchen. The very next day, our students stepped beyond the classroom and into real hotel environments. They were placed in key operational areas, including food production, the front office, food and beverage service, and housekeeping. This industry exposure allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge in live, professional settings, experiencing the true pace and expectations of the hospitality industry.
The feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive. One hospitality student shared, “Being in the hotel today helped me connect what we learn in class to what happens on the job.” A culinary student added, “It’s inspiring to know we get this kind of exposure every term. It’s preparing us for real opportunities.”
With every new term, our learners grow in confidence, refine their skills, and take bold steps closer to their professional aspirations. Because at Kabarak TVET Institute, we are not just training for exams, we are training for life.
